As 2020 slowly comes to an end, is the trend for fillers slowly fading out too?

Molly Mae vlogs her experience in reversing her beauty treatments that were once the in thing. Now at the age of 21, as the ‘Kylie Jenner lips’ seem to be a thing of the past, she expresses a new found desire to look youthful again and embrace her natural beauty.

Lockdown seems to have taught us a thing or two about our beauty. We seem to be much more relaxed about our manicures and pedicures growing through, and less bothered getting our roots and lashes re-done. Could it have taught us that we are beautiful whether we carry out these treatments or not, because true beauty actually stems from within and not how we decorate ourselves on the outside.

According to Molly Mae, she had started her lip filling journey at the age of 17, and now says it was a mistake. ‘I want to reverse what I had done at a young age and go back to a more natural me’. Molly is also undergoing other treatments to reverse procedures she has had in the past, and this includes her veneers.

Now that Molly Mae and others are undoing their once determined decision to enhance their “beauty”, is the aspiration to have ‘Kylie Jenner lips’ no longer the trend it once was?

Here at I Am BeYoutiful, we are all for embracing your Au Naturel and celebrating what you have and who you are. Your individuality is what makes you unique and, ultimately, what makes you, YOU. Whoever and whatever that is, love it and be you, because being you is being BeYOUtiful.

Fashion Nova’s Kids RangE Gets Backlash From Mum’s

Fashion Nova introduces their new kids range and receives backlash for sexualising young girls. Their new children’s clothing line features an array of skimpy dresses, mini skirts, crop tops and high heel shoes. Along with these mature outfits, the names include: ‘Pull me closer’, Kiss me wild’, Keep it on the down low’ and ‘See it in your eyes’.

Mum’s have taken their disgust and outrage to social media, criticising the brand for being ‘inappropriate’ and making the argument that the looks are ‘way too grown up’. They have accused the online retailer of dressing kids up like adults. The pieces are designed to match adult versions available on the site and so they have kept the names the same. One Twitter user slammed the brand saying:

“Nah, I get that they’re trying to match the adults outfits with mini outfit’s but having a kid in a two piece set and calling it ‘Romantic escape’ is just disgusting.”

Many people asked ‘what happened to letting kids be kids?’ as they shared their horror and disgust at this latest clothing line which ‘looks like they’re playing dress up’. “Fashion Nova lost their mind with these kids clothes” said one Mum, and another said “I want my child to dress up like a child, not like she’s about to go to the club”. The comments go on, but not everyone agrees with the all the criticism made. One user stated that they ‘do not think the outfits are that bad’ and several people suggested they could find ‘plenty of appropriate outfits’ available on the site.

Take a look for yourselves, and tell us your thoughts on Fashion Nova’s take on children’s fashion. Leave a comment in our comment box below.

Is this way too much or simply a chic new children’s clothing line?
