Being in lockdown means that all non-essential shops have had to close and unfortunately the beauty industry has been hit the hardest; from nail salons and hairdressers to the rest of the beauty industry. A little self-care can alleviate stress and help recharge your mood to face the week ahead. Hopefully lockdown should be easing soon but having these beauty gadgets to hand can help create that spa experience at home.

1.  Foreo Luna Fofo  -  £79

A cleansing brush to take your skincare to the next level. It is fully waterproof and can be used with a cleansing gel to massage the skin. It helps to bring out dirt from the skin and gives a deep cleanse. It leaves the skin with a natural glow.

2. Facial  Steamer  and  Mist  -  £26.99

Steaming your face is beneficial for your skin. Think of a sauna for your face. The steam helps to soften dirt inside your pores and helps to bring it to the surface making it easier to extract blackheads. Heating up your skin also makes it more receptive to skincare ingredients and is a way to unblock your sinuses.

3. Gua  Sha &  Jade  Roller -  £23.98

These two massage tools are great ways to relieve stress and boost relaxation. Not only does it relieve tension in the muscles on the face but it also boosts blood circulation and helps drain the lymph nodes.

4. Skin Scrubber -  £21.99

Also known as a skin spatula, it uses ultrasound technology to exfoliate the dead skin cells. It helps to loosen dirt from the skin and it is oddly satisfying seeing the impurities come out. It also helps skincare ingredients penetrate deeper in to the skin; leaving the complexion clearer and brighter.

5. Gel Nail Kit  -  £35.99

The at home gel nail kits are a convenient way to do your nails at home. Amazon have some of the best nail kits containing LED lamp, top and basecoat with a variety of nail gadgets to achieve that salon look at home. I do love a gel nail finish.

6. Dyson Airwrap - £449.99

I caved in to the lockdown madness and tried to cut my own hair. It was a semi-successful attempt and I have something that resembles layers. For all those missing the hair salon effect the Dyson Airwrap might just be the thing for you. It’s home hair styling taken to the next level. From barrel curls to beachy waves or the classic blow dry with lots of volume. Causes minimal damage to your hair. It is on the pricier side but an investment for healthier hair.
